Accessibility Statement

Nordmeyer Creative builds websites for small businesses and nonprofits, and we believe everyone who visits one of them should be able to use it. That starts with our own site. This page is an honest account of where nordmeyercreative.com stands, not a claim that the work is finished.
The standard we build to
We design and build against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, Level AA. That standard covers readable color contrast, text that resizes without breaking the layout, navigation you can reach with a keyboard, headings in a sensible order, and meaningful descriptions on images.
Where this site currently stands
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard and some parts have not been fully tested or verified yet. No independent audit has been carried out, so we are not going to tell you the site is fully compliant.
The areas we have given the most attention to are semantic heading structure, descriptive text on meaningful images, keyboard reachable navigation, real link text rather than “click here”, and color combinations checked against the contrast requirement in both the light and the dark appearance.
Limitations we know about
We would rather be specific than vague.
Some interactive components on this site have not been tested end to end with a screen reader.
The shop pages pull product information from an outside service, and we do not control every part of how that content is presented.
Our assessment is a self evaluation. It has not been reviewed by an independent accessibility auditor.
Content embedded from third parties, where it appears, is outside our direct control.
Telling us about a barrier
If any part of this site stops you from doing what you came to do, we want to hear about it. Write to hello@nordmeyercreative.com. It helps if you can tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what device or assistive technology you were using. Send what you have and we will work with it.
What we will do about it
We will acknowledge your message within five business days. We will tell you what we found and what we intend to do about it. If a fix is going to take a while, we will say so plainly and give you another way to get the same information or service in the meantime. There is no charge for asking.

Keeping this page honest
We review this statement whenever we make a significant change to the site, and we update the date at the top when we do. If something here stops being true, tell us and we will correct it.
